what women want
what a film well actually it doesnt rank in the best films of all time but i did laugh through it, perhaps no so much at the jokes as the bemused look on the face of my chap of the time who'd taken me too see the film. it was quite apparant he didn't get the humour (possibly because our primitive feminine humour was no mach for his advanced masculine mind! ha!) but seriously it was a film that intrigued me, the title in itself cause i'm not sure we truly know what we want, but i think it's fair to say there are a few things that we definitly know..so this marks the beginning of an ongoing code breaker for all you men out there who are desperatly trying to fathom us out, because lets face it we're not the easiest species to figure out what with us being from venus you being from mars! in fact i do feel sorry for blokes sometimes cause we are a highly complex group with our own personal needs, wants and feelings and no two women are the same..guys are pretty straight foreward, keep em fed and give em some affection with a throw in of freedom every now and then and you're on to a winner,however we girlies don't like the easy life we're much harder to please..as you can tell i'm not exactly a raging feminist desperate to burn my bra and all men with it..in fact i'm rather partial to men, i think you're alright :) i'm more of a lads girl anyway..cant stand the bickering with girls. so i've decided to break the secret code and let you in on sum stuff, and as and when new things come to light that i think will be of use, i'll post it.
so, first things first...WOMEN DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY WANT we're useless in fact we change our minds more times than i care to imagine..that said though we do have a fair idea of things we don't want so if we work backwards and look for the opposites i reckon we can get to what women want!
#1 when we're driving you to PC world to pick up this infernal game for your computer having already tried two shops knowing full well it wont be at PC world but being tolerant of your desires and having sat for an hour in traffic..we DONT want you to lean over and beep the horn at some girl in a mini skirt tottering down the road! we then dont want to be further insulted by comments like "she's nothing compared to you" or "i was only joking"
#2 we don't like unreliability..ie saying we're going to have new year together, and then buggering off elsewhere..or saying i'll be there in an hour and two hours later phoning to find out how to get there
#3 we can't stand indecisiveness for the simple reason that we're pants at making decisions..we NEED you to do it "i dunno what do you fancy doing cause i don't mind i'll do whatever" followed by silence and the occasional shrug of the shoulders is no use!
#4 we also need you to make the decision cause that way if it's wrong we're not to blame, we don't like being wrong, we just can't stand failure.
#5 when we're quite clearly in a grump about something you need you ask whats up so we can say "nuffin" in that tone of voice that makes it quite clear we're really peeved..at which point we DONT want you to give up! you need to push us for an answer so we can get annoyed, that's the front we've got up when actually inside we're so pleased that you're so bothered and in the end we'll tell you..at which point we DONT want a practical answer..we want to be hugged and pampered and told it'll all be ok
#6 we DONT want to be told if you fancy our sister!! yes we want honesty in a relationship but not that honest!
#7 when its summer time and we're feeling the need to dress a little more girlie and summery to surprise you (pink knee length flowery skirt and little white v-neck plus dolly shoes) we DONT want to be told the following on asking your opinion: "well your legs arent exactly slender and your hips are rather wide arent they?" again too much honesty!
see not so tough is it?? :D
if i think of any more pearls of wisdom i'll let you know but for now i think you have enough to stomach..at the end of the day we really just want to love and be loved, treat you fairly and be treated fairly...laters!!
