bad eggs

Do bad eggs sink or swim? The test is as follows: to see if an egg is bad without having to endure the stench you put it in a cup of water and if it floats that means its er um oh pants!.. and therein lies the problem, we can't remember if floating is good or not
this has been a hot topic of discussion for those who frequent the belle trois residence this week..currently the vote being 4 say it sinks if it's good 2 say it floats if it's good (but neither of them knew of the test prior to discussion)
i remembered the test they did in medieval times when they drowned those suspected of being witches, those who floated were witches and thus burned at the stake (after drying out obviously!) those who drowned were in fact very unfortunate individuals, but hey! at least they were good! so my theory was:
good = sinking
bad = floating hence my vote was good eggs sink..
we needed further help though coz after all the medieval lot had a fair few screwy ideas..i so called mum, no answer argh! so elly tried lloyd..oh no, answerphone so we left a message..i got a call a bit later from a very confused lloyd wondering what on earth we were asking that for..i explained, he hesitated, thought, said he'd never heard of that test (i was fast thinking i'd dreamt it up!) and then said, wait there, i'll find out..and he disappeared,i stood wondering what fount of knowlege he was tapping into to find out..he reutrned a few moments later concluding:
"these eggs are bang on and they sink" bless him, he went to check..so as long as we trust lloyd's judgement GOOD EGGS SINK!
