seriously folks..you couldn't write this stuff!!

wow what an eventful week it's been..i almost don't know where to begin (the start is sensible i suppose!!) sooo here we go (hold on tight)
* my dear friend toni runs a pub in birmingham, just off broad st called the james brindly
* she has the most work shy staff i've ever met and was desperatly in need of help over the christmas period
* she called me in a flap and i agreed to lend her a hand (the extra cash semed like a nice bonus prior to christmas)
* i finished at college on monday and wen over to do a shif at the pub
* it was dead so she let me off early YAY i can go to the wharf for student night!!
* i went to my car and opened the boot cause i needed a coat (it was baltic) and noticed the back seat had fallen down
* stupid old car, its falling apart (i thought as i pulled it back up)
* i then went to my driver door, which was open! surely i couldnt have been stupid enough not to shut it?!?!?
* unfortunatly no i wasn't stupid..i looked into the car to see it had been ransacked..i looked down to see the handle from the driver seat on the floor (any regular users of my car will know it comes off whenever you try to move the seat!!)
* i went back to the pub white as a ghost and we called the police, and then checked the cctv
* cctv showed me leaving my car at 18.23 (we had a chuckle at how many attempts it took me to park!!)
* 18.24 a hooded character appears, and breaks in
* anyways my knight in shining armour and his trusty dad came to my rescue and took me home (i was sporting an alice cooper makeup job by this time)
* the police kept my car and dusted it for prints the next day
* got a cracking print off of the door apparantly, lets hope its not mine!!
* they told me my car was the only one broken into in birmingham that night!! oooh lucky me
* we ascertained that the assailant had been searching for my face off haha that was in my bag tbh!!! and he didn't seem keen on my music collection (teach you to try and steal from a christian!) the only thing he took in the end was a brand new pair of very lovely boots!
* so not only was i the only person to have my car broken into, it was also by some thief with a foot fettish ;)
* the car got released back to me however the door wasn't shutting due to the way the thief had wrenched the door, so i left it locked up and proceeded to panic as i needed to be in hastings wednesday night
* once again greg to the rescue..he put me on the insurance for harriet and told me i could borrow her THANK YOU!!
* i also had an offer of a car from matt smith (he'll be mopping his brow with relief that i didn't take him up on it at the end of this saga)
* i set off for hastings wednesday night (slow start cause i took the same wrong turn out of brum twice!!)
* i arrived safe and sound with my dad later that night feeling very blessed..the car simply needed oil before i set off home
* anyways i had the day in hastings with dad did what i needed to filled the car with oil and then set off that night
*both me and dad felt uneasy about the return trip but didnt say anything to one another.
* i stopped to get petrol (had to call greg cause i couldnt figure the cap out!!)
* i had a cat nap in oxford cause i was really flagging and i'd spilt my red bull straight down my leg!
* i set off again..merrily on my way when the oil lamp comes on again!
* ok next service station i'll stop me thinks (car thought different)
* suddenly we start loosing power
* hmm not normal, then i hear this almoghty BANG and smoke starts pouring out of the bonnet
* oh dear (or words to that effect)
* i got onto the hard shoulder and remembered the conversation greg and i had had about the fact he has no breakdown cover cause he has the car whisperer
* i called - no answer well it was 1am
* i phoned my dad who got on the case calling people who might be able to help while i walked to the sos phone
* sos phone not working (pants!)
* called 999 they gave me the number i needed
* spoke to highway patrol, they said they would arrange assistance
* then i get another call about some recovery service or something i was just like yeah sure just come get me cause its cold! (it's now 2am)
* sitting on the side of the road feeling cold and scared and a lil annoyed i started crying..to add insult to injury it started to rain!!
* i know you're not supposed to get back in your car but it was getting beyond a joke and i couldn't sit there any longer
* i'm sitting thinking what next (dangerous thought) the battery died on my phone!!
* 3am a highway patrol vehicle arrives
* they didnt have a clue about me and why i was on the hard shoulder
* after a lil radio talk they figured that my recovery was on the m6 wondering where i was
* i was in fact on the m40 - serious case of crossed wires!
* they rapped me up in foil thingys and called for help
* the most miserable rude soul arrived an hour later
* he asked the patrol guys if i had the keys (never spoke to me directly!!)
* the upshot of the conversation was that it was going to cost £140 to be towed off of the motorway and have the car impounded and then i was to be dropped in lemington spa at the destination of my choice to find my own way home!
* all credit to the highway partol they didtry to get him to take me home but all he wanted to do was get rid of me and go to bed, so he dropped e at the police station.he was kind enough to let me charge my phone while we were travelling though!
*the police made me a cup of tea while i waited for dean to come get me..i finally walked in my door at 7.30 am - having left hastings at 21.00 the night before!
* i informed a VERY shocked greg about the whole affair and spoke to work
* work were complete cretins and made me go in and work till 7 to make up the time..i had had two hours sleep punctuated by a phone call every 15 mins so needless to say i was cabbaged!!
* greg's car will be being collected on moday, more on that as the news arrives
* i managed to get my car back from birmingham today and jame's and his dad stood out in the FREEZING cold and mended the lock so i can use it again WOW!! i'm mobile again..
*and that's the saga of the two cars!!!!!!!!!!!!
